Zol-Zu
A Kryptonian scientist, and father of Zar-Al, the teenager who was also known as Krypton Kid. He sends his son to Earth in a time-ship when the scientist is alerted by Jor-El of the impending doom of Krypton, to bring back zeelium, which would “prevent the uranium core of Krypton from exploding†(Adv No. 242, Nov 1957: “The Kid from Kryptonâ€).
