Zha-Vam is one of most powerful opponents Superman has ever faced. The Oracle of Delphi shown the mighty gods Zeus, Hercules, Achilles, Vulcan, Apollo, and Mercury that due to Superman's super feats that the gods would be forgotten in the far future and the people of Earth would worship Superman instead. So the gods decided to create a mighty and powerful titan named Zha-Vam to be their champion to defeat and humiliate Superman. Zha-Vam's name is made from the first letters of the six Olympian gods who gave him their powers: Zeus, Hercules, Achilles, Vulcan, Apollo, and Mercury. They gave him a magic belt with which he could channel their powers by pressing the letter of their name on the belt and a Kryptonite sock. He fought Superman and won, all of Superman powers were not enough to defeat Zha-Vam. Superman soon found out the source of Zha-Vam powers and in order to even the odds, teamed-up with the gods Prometheus, Pluto, Achilles, Neptune, and Atlas, who gave Superman a magic belt of his own to use against Zha-Vam and finally Superman was able to defeat Zha-Vam.
