Tommy Superman
The name given to a 12 year old orphan named Tommy after he has been legally adopted by Superman in March-April 1949. The bond between Superman and his adopted son becomes singularly strong, but when Tommy's safety is severely threatened by Superman's crime-fighting career, Superman reluctantly arranges for him to be newly adopted by a Linotype operator at the Daily Planet (S No. 57: "The Son of Superman!").
