I thought that it was about time that Sunburst was added to the Superboy Era. --Manomight1974

You don't need to use the talk pages to justify an entry. Just use them if someone wants to discuss it... :) --MatterEaterLad 01:49, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Well, just trying to cover myself. I don't want a repeat of yesterday. --Manomight1974

BTW, what do you think of the entry? --Manomight1974

I think it's a good entry and am very glad to see NSB stuff being added. One thing I'm wondering here is whether or not we should link to these entries from the Superboy entry. TGSB has a habit of listing every encounter that a major character, like say Superman or Lois Lane, has ever had within that character's entry. It might make sense to do the same thing with Superboy, thus giving a mention and link-back to Sunburst from the S-boy article. But Superboy as it stands now doesn't seem to have a section for a straight historical run-through of events. It's currently organized more as a general character introduction and description, not as a biographical history. Any other thoughts/ideas on this? -- A'dam'mkent 3272 02:51, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

I think it might be a good idea to do this, but, as you said, since the SB entry isn't arranged as a straight chronological listing, it might be a bit difficult to insert Sunburst into the entry.

Also, might it not be a good idea to insert some more Superman Family related Superboy entries besides the entry for the Seeker?

I would love to see entries for the Mechanical Master and Stasis.

A link from the Superboy page might work, the problem with really long entries like Superman and Batman is that they are difficult to edit because they are so long. You get an error screen warning you to edit it in sections. And even though Super Monkey and I added every World's Finest story to the Batman entry up to 1983, even I have to admit my eyes gloss over when I try to read it, it's THAT long and pretty tedious. --MatterEaterLad 03:40, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Oh, and BTW, add new entries about new stories! I have been almost the only one adding 70s and 80s stories, and I don't even LIKE the 70s and 80s. The point I was making is to avoid creating numerous small pages for every single story, not to avoid adding numerous stories. Too much of this site is just a straight copy of Fleischer. --MatterEaterLad 03:47, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

I wouldn't mind adding new stuff, specifically the Superboy stories from Superman Family, his second run in Adventure Comics, and the New Adventures of Superboy. These stories are my period...the ones I have the most knowledge of and a complete run of all those issues.

Although, it might mean I'd have to dig them all out and re-read them again (LOL).

Let me know what you guys think. --Manomight1974

Well, right way, that sounds good. Those comics are mostly missing here. Do you know how to upload pictures? --MatterEaterLad 04:05, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Getting back to Sunburst for a minute, does anyone know where we can get a good image of him to add to the entry? It might actually jazz up the page a bit with a pic. --Manomight1974

I haven't got a clue on how to upload pics. Any help that any of you guys can give here would be most appreciated. --Manomight1974

Here is what I do, I search the web for images on Google. I also search blogs, and other articles. I always modify the image (cut and crop it, brighten it, and shrink it's file size (I don't like to rip off someone else's work exactly the way they publish it and I personally don't believe in just taking the cover from the Great Comic Database or from Mike's Amazing World of DC Comics. If I do use those sources, I crop the image and change the hue and tint, before optimizing it (I always optimize image files to keep them under 50 kb in size, so pages load fast). Then I use the upload file link on the left. If I have some time, I'll see what I can dig up on Sunburst. Searching for images and editing them takes some practice but then you get good at it. It's hard to tell in words. If you have a scanner, you can scan your own comics, as well. --MatterEaterLad 04:16, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
