Okay, will do.  Usually, when I go back, it's because of an image.  In regards to the K Man entry, where you had to do a lot of tense changes, that was copied from Wiki, and I never got the chance to change the tense myself.  I added the info regarding Supergirl and the K Man, let me know what you think.--[[User:Manomight1974|Manomight1974]] 3 October 2008, 1:10 AM (EST)

OK. I'm a Wikipedia contributor (as well as an editor for the Internet Movie Database and TV.com) and I would urge you not to copy anything from there. Even if I change the tense, it is still copied. We want original words, not copied words. Wiki wants it the same way. See rules for contributors here.--[[User:MatterEaterLad|MatterEaterLad]] 05:17, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Revision as of 01:17, 3 October 2008

The reference to the second Kryptonite Man is not necessary to this entry. Neither being ever encountered each other, and the link to the Kryptonite Man (referring to S No. 299), will bring a reader to any info regarding the second version.--Manomight1974 2 October 2008, 11:45 PM (EST)

It is the same type of referal as entries for The Curator, and many other entries. I think you might have to trust the formmat, I've been around for a long time. --MatterEaterLad 03:49, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Actually, it is somewhat different that The Curator. The Curator is another identity adopted by Humpty Dumpty, not a second person running around using that identity. I really think we should only make reference to one version of the Kryptonite Man here, with the link bringing readers to the entry for the Kryptonite Man, and thus the information for the second version.--Manomight1974 2 October 2008, 11:53 PM (EST)

There IS only one entry for Kryptonite Man, the other is a referral, just like Mighty Boy etc. The Curator refererence is to Curator and Apprentice Prime (entirely different characters). I'm not trying to be a hard ass and I welcome new entries, but I KNOW the format and practices of Supermanica. This evening has been very tedious for me, none of my changes were altering any real content, they were all for format (including having to change tense on a new entry yet again). --MatterEaterLad 03:59, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

I don't think that we need "for example" in the part of the entry that refers to issue 297, as the Kid only made one in-continuity appearance as the Kryptonite Man.--Manomight1974 3 October 2008, 12:08 AM (EST)

That's fine, seems like a good change.--MatterEaterLad 04:10, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

I would like to move the link to the Kryptonite Man up to the section discussing the Kid's return as an adult, and slightly change around the paragraph mentioning the second K Man.--Manomight1974 3 October 2008, 12:16 AM (EST)

I can't see any reason, the first paragraphs discuss one character, the last discussed another. Standard format. There is no reaosn to relentlesly edit over and over, in fact it's GOOD when only a few entries are done at a time (using the "preview" function so that one entry is not entered 8 times in a row) so that other users can look them over before they are forced off the "recent changes" list. --MatterEaterLad 04:29, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Just curious, but why was the mention of Supergirl encountering the Kryptonite Man removed from the entry? Aren't her adventures considered part of the chronicles as well?--Manomight1974 3 October 2008, 12:33 AM (EST)

I can't find the Supergirl info, add back if you want. It's only been edited 8 million times in one day, with no real change. I'd REALLY like to see new adventures added. I wanted to add a new entry myself tonight, but the last 6 hours are gone. --MatterEaterLad 04:51, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Sorry about that. My fault. Won't happen again.--Manomight1974 3 October 2008, 12:54 AM (EST)

It's OK, I've said before that new entries are good and I've not been prone to wipe out your stuff at all (sometimes I still have to change the tense a lot). When it comes to format and images, there just has to be someone who edits around here. It makes it easier for all of us to add a few entries a day, and we can all (you included) see them on the "current changes" page and check them out. But again, Supermanica gets better with new adventures rather than a lot of links to the same data. The total number of entries or who edited last is not a goal. It would also be helpful if you finish an entry in one or two passes (use "preview" to check spelling or if there might be something you forgot) so that there aren't a ton of edits of just a couple of entries taking up the entire "recent changes" page.--MatterEaterLad 05:05, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
