Earth E

I've been wondering whether or not it is really appropriate to mention "Earth-E" in Supermanica. This Earth was never mentioned in the chronicles and as far as I know, it is actually a fan-hypothesis. I just re-read Bob Haney's text piece in the first Super-Sons story, and he states:

"As we said, it is not imaginary, not fantasy, but real, the way it happened. How so, you say? Despite all the issues published on the amazing careers of these two greatest of all super-heroes, not every facet of their lives could possibly be covered. Both have lived a hundred lives in one, are bigger than ordinary reality, inimitable, and immortal. Thus, this issue gives you just one, other previously undisclosed portion of their unique stories."

So I would have to say that the chronicles presented these tales as "real" while telling them, then later explained them away as a computer simulation. No mention of them taking place in an alternate universe or parallel world. (Which could easily have been done and would have made more sense - since the first story in the series actually involves a parallel reality.) So technically the reality of these stories shifted over time. Seems to me that saying anything else is a retcon.

Anyone else have any other thoughts or opinions on this?

I partially agree. In any case, it seems to be missing from the "chronicles". While Haney hardly gave a satisfactory "explanation", it might be an "alternative reality" more than anything else. On the other hand, it's weird and fits in no Supermanica categories according to the stories themselves. I would give some weight to the "computer" explanation, as other entries here give some weight to non-canonical chronicles. For example, we accept that Iris West became Barry's wife, etc. --MatterEaterLad 05:07, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
