In reality Jax-Ur, the dreaded Phantom Zone prisoner, who escapes through a temporary warp rip in the Phantom Zone and settles on Earth, where he abducts and impersonates Jonathan Kent. He pretends that he has gained super-powers from a space-jewel, and assumes the identity of Super-Father, making life difficult for Clark Kent and Superboy until the Boy of Steel exposes him, rescues the real Jonathan Kent and returns Jax-Ur to the Zone (Adv No. 289, Oct 1961: “Clark Kent’s Super-Father!”)
