Sgt. Rock is one of the most famous American soliders during WWII, where he fought countless great battles with his band of brothers called Easy Company.
An extremely powerful bomb is placed in an award that is going to be given to Superman, it explodes and Superman is sent flying at speeds faster than the speed of light right into the past and in the middle of World War II. Due to the incredible shock from the blast Superman now is also suffering from amnesia, later he meets Sgt. Rock and Easy Company and is dubbed Tag-Along. He helps them fight off Nazis until he finally regains his memory and uses his super-powers to time-travel back to the year 1979 (DCCP No. 10, Jun 1979: "The Miracle Man of Easy Company!").
