Rinol-Jag

Rinol-Jag. A humanoid alien of the planet Salitar, that was completely demolished by an asteroid fragment of the destroyed planet Krypton that had been hurtling through space. Rinol-Jag was in a space capsule destined for Salitar's moon at the time, and was left the only survivor of the planet. Rescued from the moon by the space pirate Amalak, Rinol-Jag was then brainwashed by the villian who secretly sought revenge on Superman. Now with a burning hatred for all things Kryptonian, Rinol-Jag was given the means by Amalak to take revenge on the survivors of the planet Krypton. Rinol-Jag then arrived on Earth-1 and went about destroying relics of the destroyed planet and then abducting the bottle city of Kandor, Krypto, and eventually Supergirl by luring her into a trap by kidnapping her adoptive parents Fred and Edna Danvers. Meanwhile, Amalak planned to take advantage of the Man of Steel's distraction by destroying Earth with an elaborate bomb.

Eventually, when Superman confronted Rinol-Jag on his asteroid base, the two aliens eventually joined forces to stop Amalak's plans when Rinol-Jag learnt of his manipulation. With the space pirate defeated and delivered to a space prison, Rinol-Jag made his peace with the Kryptonians and departed in a ship to settle elsewhere in space.
