Muhammad Ali
An renowned African-American champion boxer, "A true genius of the ring and champion of the people"
The boxer and Superman were confronted by the Scrubb who sought to break the will of and destroy humanity. They were challenged to fight the Scrubb's boxing champion, Hun'ya, or have the world be destroyed if they refused.
Faced with that threat, the pair agreed to the challenge and trained with each other. In addition, they also created a plan that allows Superman to be free to fight the Scrubb's fleet while Muhammad Ali keeps the galaxy's attention with his bout against Hun'ya.
In the fight, Ali defeats Hun'ya while Superman defeats the fleet and so inspires Hun'ya that he revolts against his leader and ends the threat against Earth.
At the end, Superman and Ali depart amicably with Ali revealing that he deduced Superman's secret identity, but intends to keep it to himself. (All New Collectors' Edition No. 7).
