Younger brother of John Corben, the first supervillain to use the name Metallo. Roger was transformed into the second Metallo by the criminal organization known as Skull in order to get revenge upon Superman for John's death at the hands of the Man of Steel (S No. 310, Apr 1977: "The Man with the Kryptonite Heart").
