Metal-Eating Mole
Large golden insectivores from the planet Krypton, these beasts have the ability to gnaw through any metal and when kept in captivity are confined in glass cages. One Metal-Eating Mole survives in the bottle city of Kandor and assists Superman in escaping the city when he is trapped there by Brainiac (Act No. 242, Jul 1958: "The Super Duel in Space!").
