Lois Lane and Clark Kent, Private Detectives

A private detective agency that is open by Lois Lane and Clark Kent at the suggestion of Perry White as a ploy for luring into the open the unknown murderers responsible for the recent deaths of four Metropolis private detectives, each of whom had been hired to recover a painting stolen from the son of the deceased Maharajah of Rajpan purported to contain a clue to the secret location of a vast royal treasure.

The killers prove to be evil “rebel agents” of the tyrannical usurpers who have seized control of Rajpan, a province of Northern India, and driven the maharajah's son into revealing the secret clue it contains to the priceless royal treasure. The secret of the painting is ultimately unlocked by Lois Lane, and the Indian plotters are apprehended by Superman (WF No. 45, Apr/May 1950: “Lois Lane and Clark Kent, Private Detectives!”). (TGSB)
