Lightning Lord

Real name: Mekt Ranzz

A member of the Legion of Super-Villains, an organization of super-criminals from the twenty-first century A.D. A native, like his brother Lightning Man (the adult Lightning Lad), of the planet Amarta (also referred to as the planet Winath), Lightning Lord wears a red, white, and green costume with a pair of white lightning bolts emblazoned on his chest. Both brothers possess the “power of super-electricity,” the ability to discharge controlled bolts of “super-lightning” from their bodies.

When Mekt and his younger twin siblings, Garth and Ayla, were trapped by lightning beasts on the planet Korbal, enveloped by the beasts' rays, they were endowed with the power to hurl and control lightning bolts.

Mekt joined the Legion of Super-Villains while his younger siblings joined the Legion of Super-Heroes respectively as Lightning Lad (nee Lightning Boy) and Lightning Lass (later Light Lass).
