The twin sister of Lightning Lad, Garth Ranzz, and younger sister of Lightning Lord, Mekt Ranzz. Ayla gained her powers with her two brothers on the planet of Korbal.
Ayla first joined the Legion of Super-Heroes masquerading as her dead brother, Garth.
She later lost her lightning hurling abilites and developed a new power: to make things super light. Ayla then changed her codename to Light Lass.
