Superboy's girl friend and sometime pain in the neck for Clark Kent. Lana often suspected Clark and Superboy were one and the same and concoted many a bizarre scheme to prove so.
A firey red head she often shared in the Boy of Steel's adventures through time and space.
An extraterrestrial who's life she had saved bestowed Lana with a bio-ring which enabled her to change into an Insect Queen.
Years later, Lana showed up in Metropolis as a TV reporter (later anchor) for station WMET and her rivalry with Lois Lane for the affections of Superman were epic in their jealous fury.
