The Kryptonoid

A strange metallic protoplasmic entity that arrives on Earth and seeks to conquer the son of its enemy Jor-El. It later becomes a weird symbiotic fusion of itself, a Superman Robot, and General D.W. Derwent (a man who wrongly holds Superman responsible for the loss of his arm) (S No. 328/1, Oct 1978: "Attack of the Kryptonoid!").

The Kryptoniod sets out again to destroy the Man of Steel but Superman is able to defeat the amalgamated enemy by making Derwent realize that the same Superman Robot he is fused with was the actual cause of his losing his limb, confusing the attack of the Kryptonian creature (S No. 329/1, Nov 1978: "I Have Met the Enemy - And It is Me!").
