The leader of the Allied forces in Europe during World War II, and the 34th President of the United States. In office from January 1953 until January 1961, he presided over the United States during the period of the Cold War, the dispute over racial segregation in the public schools, and the launching of sputnik by the U.S.S.R. An attempt by a “secret spy ring” to assassinate President Eisenhower is thwarted by Superman in September 1959 (Act No. 256: “The Superman of the Future!”). (TGSB) (See Dirk Folger )
