Dr. Vallin
A "brilliant scientist" turned criminal who concocts an elaborate scheme to annihilate Superman by "fusing" gold, silver, lead, and bismuth "with acid and crackling electricity" to produce a deadly sample of artificial kryptonite. Vallin and his henchmen are apprehended by Superman in January-February 1952 (WF No. 56: "The Superman Pageant!"). (TGSB) (See Synthetic Kryptonite)
