The leader of the Grotak Bund, a clandestine subversive organization engaged in a massive “attempt to sabotage America's national defense effort†by destroying the nation’s factories, power plants, and other installations “so that America’s defense operations will be slowed down and destroyed!†Denby and his fellow bund members are apprehended by Superman in September-October 1941 (S No. 12/3) (TGSB).
