Benny the Brute
A ruthless Metropolis "mobster" and "Public Enemy Number One" who, transported accidentally into the Stone Age—along with Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Perry White, and a bespectacled inventor named Bates—by Bates's newly invented "time machine," adopts the pseudonym Stoneman and, aided by such modern gadgets as his pistol and cigarette lighter, attempts to cow the local cave dwellers into frightened submission so that he can remain in the prehistoric past, "where there's no cops," and rule over them as their king.
