A sultry blond singer at the Hilow Night Club who has murdered a man named Jack Kennedy â€œfor two-timing herâ€ and framed innocent Evelyn Curry for the crime. After confronting Bea Carroll in her dressing room and forcing her to sign a written confession (â€œIâ€”Iâ€™ll get the chair for this!â€ sobs Bea. â€œYou should have thought of that before you took a human life!â€ replies Superman), Superman races with his prisoner to the home of the governor to arrange a last minute reprieve for Evelyn Curry (S No. 1/1, Sum 1939).
