Abdullah

Abdullah

The "crafty magician" of ancient Baghdad who is the secret leader of the infamous Forty Thieves. Dispatched through the time barrier by Professor Carter Nichols to the city of Baghdad in the tenth century A.D., Batman and Robin make the acquaintance of the legendary Aladdin and, with Superman's help, recover the inheritance which the naive lad has foolishly traded to the wily Abdullah in exchange for a worthless "magic" lamp and clear him of the groundless charge that he is one of the Forty Thieves. In addition, the three crime-fighters foil an attempt by Abdullah and his cohorts to loot the shops of Baghdad, and ultimately apprehend the villians after Superman has chased him from the city (WF No. 79, Nov/Dec 1955: "The Three Magicians of Baghdad!").
