The owner of a chain of bakeries who, enraged at the two fellow businessmen who bankrolled the start of his bakery business but who now retain the lion's share of his stock, concocts an elaborate scheme of stock manipulation and murder by which he hopes to dispose of his associates while seizing absolute control of both their businesses and his own. Apprehended by Superman in January-February 1947, Owens is condemned to die in the electric chair (S No. 44/2: "The Man Who Didn't Die on Time!").
