Na-Tse.jpg

The treacherous high priest in the court of the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Cheops, and the mastermind behind a treasonous scheme to betray Egypt into the hands of the Assyrians. Miraculously transported to Egypt in the twenty-sixth century B.C. after crossing a mysterious wooden bridge --the so-called “bridge that mocks time” --not far from the Great Pyramid at Giza, Superman exposes the evil Na-Tse as a traitor, persuades the pharoah to emancipate his slaves, helps defeat an advancing Assyrian army, and single-handedly completes well over half the work on Cheops's Great Pyramid. His scheme to betray Egypt thwarted, Na-Tse dies when some arrows fired at Superman by some of Cheops's disloyal guards are deflected by the Man of Steel and strike the evil high priest instead (WF No. 32, Jan/Feb 1948: “The Seventh Wonder of the World!”).
